Jaman,
That’s Jamaican for Howzit! When we left you last we had been talking to Lloyd, who by the way has the best bus in Jamaica and he makes sure you know this! Lloyd was going to take us sight seeing and to the Appleton Rum distillery today but we decided against it as it was a whole day trip, we got up this morning and went snorkelling on the reef instead!
Last night we took a walk down to the other end of Negril for dinner and tried some more of the local island cuisine, very good as we have come to expect. Not the same quality as you would get from a 5star place, but very tasty. After dinner we went on a beach crawl to various pubs.
As I was saying this morning we got up and had eggs on toast for breakfast before walking down to the beach. There are loads of boats all offering snorkelling trips out to the reef, we went with Captain on his bright Rasta coloured boat, about 20ft long with a sunshade and a glass bottom. The reef was probably a mile out over calm crystal clear water, you could see the bottom all the way out.

The Captains assistant announced that it was hid birthday and broke out into a rendition of 50cent, sat down and rolled a joint! Which he passed around to the 4 of us, later in hindsight I realised that is was a bad idea, as a droog bek and sea water don’t mix so well! The reef was really awesome thousands of fish that would just not leave your side in the hope of a tasty morsel that you might have with you, out Captain who came with us had a packet with a few slices of bread in it that attracted even more exotic fish. We were also luck enough to see bright purple eel and barracuda. Rich just came and sat back next to me, he went back to our room to put our camera batteries on charge, he is grinning from ear to ear as he was just offer more weed! Prolific would be a good word! That reminds me, have you ANY idea how funny a puffer fish is after a bit of weed?! I almost drowned sucking in the salt water which exasperated my droog bek, and made me decide I would not need salt on my dinner!
After we got back to shore we found the little back street take away that we were referred to by our taxi driver for a good spot to get some Curry Goat, which we did and it turned out to be really tasty. After that we took at walk back to out hotel, and stopped at the beach bar for 2 Appleton Estate rums on the rocks.Irie.
